Does downloading the app activate my service?
No. The app works as part of an account, subscription, and compatible hardware configuration. Contact True Road to arrange your setup.
What do I need for a roadside inspection?
Learn the roadside inspection and data-transfer procedure for the exact app version supplied to you. Keep the required instructions and supporting materials available. Your carrier is responsible for preparing drivers and records.

FMCSA requires four things to be in the cab with an ELD: the user manual, the data-transfer instruction sheet, the malfunction instruction sheet, and at least eight days of blank paper logs. Most roadside trouble starts when one of them is missing.

- Set duty status to On duty, not driving.
- Open True Road Elogs and go to the inspection / DOT view.
- Have your licence, medical card and registration ready.
Show or transfer
- Hand the officer the device in inspection view, or
- Use the app’s data transfer option and enter the routing code the officer gives you.
- Confirm the transfer message before you close the screen.
